If you are pregnant you should know that you should avoid some foods and products that can cause complications and harm the baby. That is why we want to tell you what to avoid or eat in less proportion to reach a happy ending. Next it takes note, this way you will take care your baby.
Soft Drinks: Soft drinks cause bloating, and more if they have sugar. So avoid taking it or reduce consumption. It is forbidden to consume alcoholic drinks, juices and raw milk.
Salt: Salt produces fluid retention and increased blood pressure and so use salt sparingly and leave aside pre-cooked products.
Sugar: Whether you’re pregnant or not, the excess sugar is unhealthy and increases the risk of gestational diabetes.
Fish: The swordfish, mackerel, tuna and shark may contain mercury which is neurotoxic and affects the fetus. Also we advise you to avoid seafood and poorly cooked and raw fish, and canned and smoked fish.
Fats: Avoid fats in pastries and ready meals. You should opt for healthy fats in olive oil and sunflower.
Meat: Do not eat undercooked meat or raw meat such as ham, pate, turkey, sausage, except if they are cooked.
Eggs: The raw or undercooked eggs can not eat, either sauces or desserts made with raw eggs.
Cheese: Do not eat unpasteurized cheeses such as brie, feta, fresh cheese, blue cheese, brown sugar and white cheese.
Other meals: Do not eat unwashed vegetables, food that is out of the refrigerator for more than two hours, prepared salads, stuffed which is cooked inside the bird.
